Our Derby bistrot was the second in our family, opening in 1996 in the city’s social hub on Friargate.

It retains all the charm and intimacy you’d expect from a building that dates back to the 1600’s (as well as some of the ghostly tales you might also expect) but diners needn’t beware, there’ll be no ghostly goings on during your meals, we promise.

General Manager Fiona
Before joining us in 2013 our Derby manager Fiona worked for her parent’s successful hospitality business until 2007. She then branched out on her own, operating several high profile sites in Birmingham and running hotels and restaurants for Marco Pierre White.

Head Chef Shaun
Shaun started his catering career at the age of 17 following his passion for food. He has worked within a whole host of small restaurants, gastro pubs and hotels all over the country. He has even cooked for many football teams and celebrities, from modern British and French, to food from around the world.
