Le Bistrot Pierre Nottingham welcomed a Year 10 class from Fernwood School in Wollaton. The visit gave the pupils the opportunity to extend their knowledge of a French menu and improve not only their ordering skills but general conversation during a two course lunch.

This follows a visit by Directors Robert Beacham and Marylise Perrard to the school at the end of January.  Marylise was able to talk to the children regarding her experiences of growing up in France and the types of food her family enjoyed cooking.  Laura Cope, age 14 said of the afternoon lesson "Listening to Marylise made a good change to a lesson where it's just learning and writing.  It was a relief, you're revising all the timeand then you get a chance to sit and to talk to someone actually from the country.  It's great.  I'd like to do French at A Level."
